The new skills in the field of digital humanities have been developed and applied to the project itself (data collection, archiving, systematization and analysis). These new skills were also used in the development of the final product, which you are seeing on this website (virtual digital map that represents the decolonization of law in the former Soviet Union).
The tasks of the research presented here were to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the transformation of the Lithuanian criminal prosecution system since 1990 within the paradigm of decolonization, combining traditional methods of history with new digital humanities tools, thus generating such results of the planned research:
1) academic article – publication in a peer-reviewed academic journal;
2) academic book – monograph;
3) new website based on the combined software programs: digital map with possibility to perform supplemental or extended data analysis, enhancement of the database and visualize the research results.
